We've been keeping ourselves busy during the wait. I returned to work on Monday. But before that we went to the local shrine for Hatsumoude or the first prayer for the New Year. I wanted thi photo to appear beneath but I haven't figured it out yet. Damn technology!

Back again..

Well just as I thought, this blog will definitely be on a daily basis but at least I'm at it again. As I write I am still a father of only one child. Koharu is now a week overdue! My mother-in-law who was with us for a week has since gone back home, much to the chagrin of Kazuko. Actually, that's putting it mildly. Nothing like being stuck in the middle of a mother and daughter argument. I won't go into detail but it looks as though I will be on full-time daddy detail for the 5 days that Kazuko will be in the hospital, if Koharu ever shows. The above photo shows us enjoying some suliyaki during the still civil days of her stay.

Testing 1,2,3

Hello again,
Just testing out my new printer/scanner. Got it at a great price (20,000 yen) and am now experimenting with it. I Scanned this photo which I took in Ise this past summer. It went directly to my "My Picassa" google photo web thingamajiggy that I haven't used until now. I was then easily able to attach this photo to my blog. Awesome! This might be easier than I thought.

Still no Koharu chan although there was a lot of movement last night. Anyday now, anyday now...

Number 2 on the way soon

My wife, Kazuko, and I are expecting our second child any day now. Our new member to the family, Koharu, is due on January 4th so we are all on pins and needles waiting for her grand entrance. Kazuko's mother has come down from Toyooka, (3 hours away in Hyogo prefecture) to help for the next few weeks once the big day occurs. Kazuko suspects that it will be tomorrow.

WELCOME

Hello everyone and anyone. Welcome to my blog. This may well be a lesson in futility as I'm barely able to keep up with e-mails, let alone keep a running blog. But I figure that rather than bother everyone with my rantings and ravings, it would better if you just paid me a visit to my own personal asylum whenever you wished. This will not be dedicated to "Conspiracy Theories" but will contain a healthy dose. There will be something for everyone , I'm sure. So here I go...welcome to A Broad View From Abroad.
